Count Down, then run script

Hey

I am creating something where the user HAS to wait X amount of time

What I want, They click a link
I will then run a query to say what time the link was clicked, so if they try refreshing the page, the information is stored in the DB not on the page, so the time is not affected.

I want the COunt down to show,
10, 9, 8, 7.....

Then when the count is 0 for some mroe php to be run

The time is Dynamic, it will depend on many factors.

I know as much Javascript as a new born does english.

PHP, I think I am advanced (or Advanced Intermediat)
just Javascript. I am crap

Can anyone help me out on this problem
