developer123 Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 I have a hosting account with a large company. I have used Content Management Systems and other pre-installed scripts on the account, but have no idea how to start developing my own php programs. The control panel (CPanel) for the account has a link, PHP Info, which displays pages of information regarding php on the server - for example, configuration command, the location of a configuration file, and so on.I see that I cannot simply create a php file, upload it and have it run. How do I start? Thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corona4456 Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 Well the way to find out if your php is working on your site... all you have to do is upload a php script and try it outTry this simple script:
<?php echo "Hello world!"; ?>
That should give you a page with "Hello world!" on it. developer123 Posted August 29, 2006 Author Share Posted August 29, 2006 OK - it is that simple. The first example I tried was to display the php variables, and that option must be off for security reasons or something. Aha!Thank you. :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
