is it possible to return table name in mysql query.

Hi,

 

I have union query combing 2 result sets ,in result set i get name from two table

but the problem is i am not able to understand which name is coming from which

table.

 

1.select id,name from table1

2.select id,name from table2

 

3.select id,name from table1 union all select id,name from table2

 

id name

1 one    this name is from table 1

2 two    this name is from table 2

3 three  this name is from table 1

4 four    this name is from table 2

5 five    this name is from table 1

 

how to get this from sql query.

Add a dummy column in each select query.... there might be a better solution... wait for other responses.
