aeroswat
I have a field called StudentName in my database. This stores names like so First Last I want to have the option of ordering my results to my queries by last name. Is this possible without doing one of the following: (Loading into a php array before I sort, Changing the way the db is setup) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/191508-strange-request-order-a-query-result-by/ Share on other sites
mikesta707
the simplest way would be to simply have two seperate columns for first name and last name. that will be much more efficient than any algorithm you would have to create to sort it Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/191508-strange-request-order-a-query-result-by/#findComment-1009531 Share on other sites
