Re-uploading a file changes on the server but not in the browser

Hi,

 

I am creating a php page where I have an existing file, for example test.pdf. i can click on a link and download test.pdf, or I can merge test.pdf with another .pdf called test2.pdf. After I do the merging, if i access the file on the server using dreamweaver, I see the changes (1 single file with the merged test.pdf and test2.pdf), but if I click on the link from the browser(i overwrite test.pdf with the merged pdf), I don't get the updated version.

 

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? refreshing/reloading the page doesn't do anything.
