Pulling a list from comma seperated text

Ok I'm sure this is a simple thing using explode or something but my brain is frazzled and I need to finish this before I get to sleep.

 

I've got a table with several entries per row... one of the entries is a list of skills, I need to extract these skills from the row, seperate them, compare them to a list of skills and then highlight the ones that match.

 

The end result should look like this:

 

 

As I said, I'm sure the end answer is simpler than I'm making it. I just have lost the capacity of though at the moment.

Actually now I think about it, its probably going to be simpler to create a skills table and assign skills to users. Still to fuzzy to put it together though.

$your_array = explode(',',$yourstring);

 

your match list will be in a similar array, and there are various ways you can check one array against the other

Cheers mate, Got it sorted in the end, Once I'd ignored the urge to sleep and made a particularly strong coffee I decided to split the skills column into a table and match it that way. Better to make it dynamic as then its future proof
