Have a quick little problem..

Is it possible to have 2 where statements.. for example...

$count = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE a='$a' AND b='$b'"

this does not work.. what is the correct way to do this.. thank you..

It works fine for me on phpMyAdmin. What was the error? Also, what exactly were you putting in the strings? It could be because you used a MySQL keyword.

Regardless, try this:

$count = "SELECT COUNT( * ) FROM `table` WHERE a='".$a."' AND b='".$b."'";

oh woow..  stupid mistake..

i was selecting rows where a certain name would match with a date.. the date format were %m/%d/%Y

forgot to put that in when selecting.. heres the code.. it works correctly now

thanks!

$count = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM contacts WHERE name='$name' AND date_format(date, '%m/%d/%Y' )='$date'";
