Is it possible to have 2 where statements.. for example... $count = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE a='$a' AND b='$b'" this does not work.. what is the correct way to do this.. thank you.. It works fine for me on phpMyAdmin. What was the error? Also, what exactly were you putting in the strings? It could be because you used a MySQL keyword. eugene2009 Posted February 14, 2010 Author Share Posted February 14, 2010 oh woow.. stupid mistake.. i was selecting rows where a certain name would match with a date.. the date format were %m/%d/%Y forgot to put that in when selecting.. heres the code.. it works correctly now thanks! $count = "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM contacts WHERE name='$name' AND date_format(date, '%m/%d/%Y' )='$date'"; Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
