PHP won't work with my virtual host

Hi

 

I have no trouble getting my horizontal menu working when I serve my index page from htdocs, but when I serve from my virtual host, the horizontal menu doesn't appear.

i.e. this code doesn't execute when served from my virtual host.

Not only that, I see this code just as it is when I view source from the browser window of the served index file.

 

So, why isn't my php working? OR does anybody know what I have done wrong.

I followed all these instructions to a T at this website.
