andyd34
I have created the following function $.fn.loading = function(options) { var defaults = { opacity: .5 }; var options = $.extend(defaults, options); var loadingOverlay = $("<div></div>"); loadingOverlay.attr('id','loading-overlay') obj = $('body'); obj.prepend(loadingOverlay.fadeTo(500, options.opacity, function(){ loadingOverlay.append('<img src="./images/loading.gif">').show(); })); } basically what happens is the screen fades and a loading.gif appears. when the following event completes I want to hide the div that this function is attached to but it isnt happening. its called by $('#loadings').loading(); I have tried .hide .html("") .unload() and unbind() but the div will not clear
