Downloading Multiple files from MySQL

I have a MySQL database where users can upload files for my client to download. Some users upload a large number of small files and the client would like to be able to download all of the files at once. Is there a way to do that? With a zip file, maybe? If anybody knows of a tutorial, that would be great.
