suggestions for a php mysql online calendar

I'm looking for some free code I can download and then tweak around to suit my purposes. I was hoping that someone out there had a suggestion for easy to understand code.

I haven't learned anything about classes yet and I have only been writing php for a short time. I need code I can understand so I can tweak it around. I realize that code for perpetual calendars systems is not the easiest code to write. That is why I was looking for something someone else had already done.

I am starting a database system for a client. they want a appointment (perpetual) calendar added to it. I will have to set up a calendar for each one of their employees. Any suggestions Please
