Needing a very simple ajax chat script

I've searched google.. for everything. I've tried around maybe 15 chat scripts.

I've got a few that worked fast, but very complicated to change and add/remove stuff.

I'm wanting something simple.

 

Description:

A simple textarea with submit button which enables enter key for submitting too.

The div for the messages to appear.

The users name should set for '$user->username' (So the users username in chat is the one caught on the logged in users browser), although for testing purposes it can simply be "my name" or something.

This is basics, it has to be fast working too. I've seen some that work fast, some that work very slow with like 2-4 second delay.

 

Database is preferred. Comments made so I can understand and everything.

 

For an add-on, a users online collum should be made too..

 

you can either give third party scripts (providing Ive not used them, cause ones i've used are like.. bull)

or you can submit your own..

 

I've literally tried everything.

For those of you who've used Tagged (Social networking) there chat is one that I'm looking for. Though not exactly identical.
