Hello everyone,

 

A short introduction from my side. I am what you can call an irregular coder and until now had most of the coding done by someone else and learned from the way he approached things. Now that I want to make the next step in my skills, I thought it would be a good idea to register here and look for solutions to issues I might have with my code and find a solution for my own needs through interpretation.

 

My experience with programming itself dates back to the mid/end 80's, but that was basically typing and understanding listings made by others. Later on, when PHP became popular I tried a couple of things myself and with the aid of another programmer I managed to build a few snippets of codes for my own site.

 

Now, a couple of years later I am on the brink of releasing a completely new site that has to cater for a considerable audience. I have learned more in the past 1.5 months than I did in the last 10 years together and I am really enjoying myself in doing so, but also realize that I am far from understanding everything and that is, as mentioned earlier, where PHPFreaks comes in. So hopefully I will be able to find the information I am looking for and at the same time take part in this already vibrant PHP community
