lovefromsophie Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 I want to make a community site where users can only have a limited number of connections/friends (say 5 for this example), but the connection doesn't have to be mutual. I guess it would be a bit like 'liking' a page on Facebook. Their 5 connections would be the only people who could access their profiles. Ideally users could also 'like' advertisers's profiles like Facebook users can (e.g. band or similar) but call it something else (this would be different to 'liking' another user - as Advertisers would not be able to view user's profiles. It would be good if they could see how many 'fans' they had, but not their full profiles. There doesn't need to be any communications features like messaging or chat between users, and their profiles would be quite simple. Has anyone got any advice for what software I should use to create a site like this? or if it would be possible to do this with a plugin for Community Builder or similar? Thanks!
