I have plans for building a tournament generator and manager in PHP for personal use, it will be based on a database of players I have already, but I have a few things I need a little help with. The number of players is quite high, 50+, so I need some sort of elimination before putting them in brackets, so I was thinking a Group system like they use in the soccer would cups. My question is, what kind of seeding method they use for this kind of things? And If I decided to only use brackets, what seeding is used for that? Thank you.
