I have yahoo webhosting running mysql version 4.1.14 I need to upgrade to atleast version 5.0 Yahoo webhosting can't upgrade me because they said they aren't able to upgrade just 1 user and have no plans to upgrade everyone. Is there a way of uploading version 5 to my webhosting server via ftp and run mysql like that? Any help wold be great! Mchl
If there was, Yahoo would also have no problems upgrading for one user. Time to change your hosting I'm afraid. Mchl
For USD13 per month you should have no problem finding a good shared hosting, or even a moderate VPS.
