problem with connecting to access database using php

hi all,

 

I'm trying to connect to access database using php. I'm using the following two connection lines differently. but no line is working properly.

 

$conn=odbc_connect("emailid.mdb","" ,"");

 

$conn = odbc_connect("Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq='/emailid.mdb'", '', '');

 

while trying these lines of code i'm getting the following error.

 

odbc_connect() [function.odbc-connect]: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified, SQL state IM002 in SQLConnect in C:\xampp\htdocs\access\data1.php on line 14

 

i'm getting the same error for any of the above two connection strings.

 

I should use only access database not other databses like mysql on this issue.

and one more thing, my webserver is linux server. In localhost with system DSN i'm able to connect. but i need it in linux server.

Please help me regarding this.
