stublackett
Hi, I've got an JPG Image : http://yfrog.com/3zdesign2bgj I just want to set it to the background of my website. What is the best way to go about it, Obviously I'd like it to be fixed. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried background-position: left center; But had no joy. Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/203185-css-background-image/ Share on other sites

stublackett
Thanks for that, Done the trick.. To fixing it. The bit on the right I'd prefer it to sit in the bottom right of the screen too. I have an holding DIV in the middle that is 1200px x 1200px. I'm assuming it maybe just an case of extending the size of the image? deansaddigh
yeah make it a bit bigger - but remember: What about peoples different screen resolutions, might look ok on yours but some one with a different resolution or screen size it will look naff. What i would do if i was you and to cater to everyone's screens is this. Cut out the fade from white to orange and just have the orange part with 2 buildings then set the body background colour to the same orange as used in the picture, that way it will blend in can you send me a link to your site so i can see Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/203185-css-background-image/#findComment-1064562 Share on other sites

deansaddigh
Exactly if you go here http://deansaddigh.centelia.net/Php%20Shoping%20cart/ you can see i have a fixed bg image but i have faded out the image and then put a body colour that blends with it, so no matter the screen resolution it will always look ok. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/203185-css-background-image/#findComment-1064565 Share on other sites
