emmac
I'm using the command mysql -u root -p -h localhost database_name < sqlfile_name.sql but it doesn't do anything. It doesn't throw any errors, etc. It's quite a large file (270MB), could that be an issue? mysql -V gives: "mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.90, for pc-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 5.1" Thanks for any help Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/203501-mysql-wont-import-file/ Share on other sites
emmac
Also, forgot to mention- using phpMyAdmin isn't an option as I have a single table that is over 50MB (my file upload limit), and I've tried using BigDump but I get an error "UNEXPECTED: Can't read the file pointer offset" that I can't seem to solve. Also, the database I'm importing into is completely empty. emmac
Fixed the error by using a different dump file. Thanks to anyone who looked at it. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/203501-mysql-wont-import-file/#findComment-1066090 Share on other sites
