Firefox on 10.04 and 9.1 (Ubuntu) has massive inputs, if the size is not supplied via a width property. Attached is a screen-shot of an input with a size of like 20, but it is enormous! Is there a way to fix this? I obviously cannot have everyone whose site I visit fix their inputs...

Alright, what it was is explained here (took a while to find!)

Basically what happened was I was using a bad font, with bad character spacing. So I had to get a new version, and clear the font cache again.

Here is the one I got to replace the bad one: (Lucida Grande)
