But make sure your hosts file (c:\windows\ssytem32\drivers\etc\hosts) contains the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" somewhere. Make sure the httpd.exe service is running: (CTRL+ALT+DEL - you may need to select "Show processes from all users"), look for httpd.exe in the task manager.
