width:100% collapses all content.

I'm using the following CSS to layout a full screen page however when i add floating divs or any other content to .c-col then when I resize the page all the content collapses togeather i want to avoid using pixels as the width parameter because I don't know what resolution the client might be set at so percentages is my best be ......how can i tell the css not to collapse my content on resize?What should i do diffrently?

What exactly does 'collapse the content' mean?

well I'm building the site for a cutomer when i resize the browser widow all the content bunches up.....resize it and drag it bigger and smaller and you will see what i mean.  http://www.privatechatnow.com/yahoo_video_chat/home/home.php

Set the top margin to a fixed height rather than a percentage. Top margin doesn't have anything to do with page width.
