3raser
When installing WAMP, I get a CLI error. So, some suggestions say turn off Internet Information Services. Does this effect my internet or computer security in anyway? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/204811-installing-wamp/ Share on other sites

objak
Why would you want to run WAMP and Apache on a Windows Server though? I would run a LAMP install on Linux if anything. Or does Apache run just as good on Windows as it does on the Linux distros? cpd
Why would you want to run WAMP and Apache on a Windows Server though? I would run a LAMP install on Linux if anything. Or does Apache run just as good on Windows as it does on the Linux distros? The server will only run as well as it can on the hardware its provided with (obviously this can be tweaked with settings but you get my general drift). There shouldn't be a reason why Apache doesn't run on Windows as well as Linux. A Windows Server should be just as capable.
