Help with Breadcrumbs

I would like to incorporate breadcrumbs into my website and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for some good reference pages?  I'm not having much luck with googling.  I saw a couple out there and I would like to be able to test this on my server at home and not have to upload it to a live server yet.

I was able to incorporate a breadcrumbs moving from one page to the next but not multiple pages.  Any suggestions?

I used this code for creating a single breadcrumb trail.  Do I need to modify this in order to make it work throughout?  Is there another way?  I'm new to PHP so your advice is much appreciated.
