wompus
I recently installed apache on a machine on my local network. I connect through an external dsl modem. When i type in the lan ip of the computer that is running apache i see my webpage. When i try to view it using the external ip of my dsl modem, i am brought to to a configuration screen for my modem. Can anyone recomend how i could type in the ip address of my dsl modem and it would display my webpages on the apache server. What ports do i need to enable? effigy
not sure. i have always used a router. see if there is an area where you can open port 80 on your internal ip address. wompus
We got it working now. We found where to set the modem to open port 80 and point to the right machine.
