markcunningham07 Posted July 8, 2010 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Hi, I am using below PHP code <?php // Read 14 characters starting from the 21st character $section = file_get_contents('http://yahoo.com', NULL, NULL, 62, 82); var_dump($section); ?> Output : string(82) "ww.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> problem is with it writing output it starts with [string(82) "] <--everything inside the square brackets I want to take out that string(82) " part from the out put.
