Take off "string(82)" from output

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am using below PHP code

<?php

// Read 14 characters starting from the 21st character

$section = file_get_contents('http://yahoo.com', NULL, NULL, 62, 82);

var_dump($section);

?>

Output : string(82) "ww.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

problem is with it writing output it starts with [string(82) "]  <--everything inside the square brackets

I want to take out that string(82) " part from the out put. If any one can help me out i would appreciate it a lot.

Thank you
