sangoku
Hy i am making part of a site will be refereed to get some java script via <script type="text/javascript" src="the link"> Now i am wondering the server sends back some kind of header so can i just use the setcookie function to send him the cookie or do i have to do it some other way because it is only a JavaScript that gets returned??? I think i can just cal the set cookie function, but im not sure Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/208282-setcookie-in-javascript-include/ Share on other sites
TheEvilMonkeyMan
The setcookie function sets the cookie on the client side after the page has loaded, so you don't need to worry about headers etc Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/208282-setcookie-in-javascript-include/#findComment-1088534 Share on other sites

TheEvilMonkeyMan
I was thinking of the setcookie function in Javascript. The PHP setcookie() function relies on HTTP headers which are returned for any kind of GET request (ie. even Javascript files). So there won't be any kind of problem calling setcookie() before outputting your Javascript so long as you call it before printing any output. Hope this answers your question.
