link from an iframe

I have a page: user.php

In that page I have an iframe with links, I want for when the user clicks on a link, it affects the url of the current page.

so for example, the link is: #action=home

I would like the url to display: http://mysite.com/user.php#action=home

I currently have this: onclick="window.parent.location = '#action=home';"

and it takes me to: http://mysite.com/main.php#action=home Where main.php is the url in the iframe.

How can I get it to affect user.php and not main.php?
