toothmkr57
Trying to figure out a way to do pdf files other than flash based since apple has screwed that up with the iPad. so what i've thought about so far is embed the pdf but very small and then maybe clickable full size pdf viewer?? I don't really know how I would get that to work with php??? Anyone have any good solutions for this? Thanks Paul Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/210467-pdf-viewing/ Share on other sites
YourNameHere
Look into DomPDF. I've only played with it and got it's very basic features working but it's pretty awesome. With it, you can have the option to view live on the page or download it. With PHPs streaming capabilities you can even save the pdf to the server for faster viewing/downloading later by multiple users. edit: Unless it will break the application, I say stand up to apple and make it flash-based. If we are undeterred by them, they cant bully us or Adobe. f--k Apple http://www.digitaljunkies.ca/dompdf/ Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/210467-pdf-viewing/#findComment-1098211 Share on other sites

I hope DomPDF is what you're looking for. no flash and it's great. I believe it just uses PHPs native PDF functionality to convert an html page to PDF.
