apok69
While I've been involved in various aspect computer technology for a number of years, and managed a few. I've never actually designed and created one from scratch. I've started reading PHP and had an idea for website, but wasn't sure what was the best way to implement it; The idea is that people post information about how they designed there workspaces, e.g. desk's, offices, etc. With corresponding pictures and/or videos. What I'm hung right now about is whether or not I should make it so that the images or videos are hosted on different sites (with links and thumbnails), i.e. flickr, youtube, etc. OR that I should have people upload it my site. Space issues aside is there a best practices with this sort website. Do I need to worry about copyrights? Do I need to worry about link management? Thanks for any advice. plznty
I would use a uploader on your site for images, since 3rd party things cannot be linked properly to obey your format. However I would enable people to insert embedded youtube code. Perhaps by asking for video ID.
