unispace
Hi I'm having a little problems with an apache v1.3 server. I can't restart apache:When I run configtest (#apachectl configtest) i get this:Syntax error on line 240 of apache/httpd.conf:Cannot load apache/libphp4.so into server: apache/libphp4.so: Undefined symbol "gdImagePngCtx"I reinstalled php4 with out gd and now the apache config file syntax is OK. ??? I guess GD was corrupt. Unfortunately restarting apache does work but can't load webpages on the server.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
oldmanice
The reson why it wont restart is because you have made a mistake in your document root and you need to correct it. If you cant find the error then get rid of it and download a new server that way you will get a new document root.
steelmanronald06
no, don't do that. just find the error and correct it. Post your httpd.conf file here if you have to. Deleteing it is the WORST advice I have ever heard anyone give on this forum!
oldmanice
No i didnt say Delete it i ment just install a new version and that way you will have a whole new httpd.conf file.
wildteen88
You dont need to unistall it either! Just copy the httpd.conf.default to httpd.conf and boom you have a new httpd.conf file! Also I think theres a command you can use to regenerate the httpd.conf file too.
