blur working only in one point on the page why?

hey,

i have a problem my code is

document.getElementById(divname).innerHTML = '<input type="text" name="instant" id="field-'+id+'" value="'+text+'" onblur="return alert();">';

 

and the problem is

that i click on the page the alert does not appear

i tried to click near the input and their is one point that the alert appear

why its not working?

 

one more problem

document.getElementById(divname).innerHTML = '<a href="javascript:cancelinstant(\'' + id + '\', \'' + divtext + '\');">cancel</a>';

 

i tried to send "divtext" to cancelinstant function

the divtext content is :

 

<a href="javascript: instantedit(\''.$row['id'].'\', \''.$row["title"].'\', \'title\', \'articles\', \'showArticles\', \''.$page.'\');"><b>'.$row["title"].'</b></a>

 

and its not send the function why and how
