yankee
Hi this is my first site about E-book publishing, http://www.yankeebook.com/ and this is about movies http://www.dead4movie.com/ What do you think about them?
Guest
Hi Yankee I had a look at yankeebook.com. I like the layout of the site. The interactive menu's are nice. I don't like the font of the lettering that much. It looks to block like for me. The light gray color on the white background is a bit difficult to read. The images of the site fit nicely in with the layout. I would have liked to see some Adobe Flash animation to give the site more life. Overall I can see there went in some hard word into the site. Nice work. ________________________________________________________________________________________ [removed] Edited February 13 by requinix removing personal info by request
nkorth
I didn't extensively test either one, just looking at the layout/styling. For the record, I'm on Chrome, with a 1024x600 screen. Regarding yankeebook.com: Overall, it's quite well done. I agree with Wynand about the grey text, it needs to be darkened. The block lettering in the headers looks good, in my opinion. Fonts are used well in the whole site, with some that are unusual but none that are overused. Regarding dead4movie.com: Again, quite nice, I don't have any major changes to suggest. The javascript changing image thing on the front page is a great feature that I think yankeebooks could benefit from. No Flash necessary! The "back to top" button behaves oddly, it doesn't seem to have any real reason behind where it appears and disappears. Also, it seems to be adding an unnecessary horizontal scrollbar.
