ispacecrusader
I'm building a website in WordPress, and I need to include a means for visitors to upload files. I've tried several plugins as well as created the php form myself, but they all share the same problem: it works fine in FF, Safari, Chrome, IE6 and IE9beta. But in IE7 and IE8, the generated "Browse" button is only about 10px wide, does not contain any text (Browse...), and does not function. Therefore I cannot upload files in these browsers. Apparently, the plugins all use more or less the same form underneath the hood. Can anyone help me fix this? Unfortunately I can't show the thing in action as the site is yet only in my test environment, but I'm including two screenshots which hopefully explain enough. Thanks for your help! jcanker
Give this a shot. You didn't specify what version of WP you're using, but this article has helped a few people I know in the past... http://www.worldtravelingartist.com/2009/04/24/wordpress-251-add-media-flash-upload-button-problem-fixed
ispacecrusader
Hi jcanker, thanks for the tip! I tried it, but unfortunately it doesn't solve the issue. I'm using WP 3.0.4 by the way. I find it odd that I don't come across others reporting this problem a lot more, it must be quite common I would think. Anyone out there have the answer?
