praveenhotha Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 We have an iframe in our page which does a meta refresh to a url after validation, in all other browsers the url passed opens in the same iframe, but in IE 8 it also opens a new window with the provided url. I thought iframe is the best option. The problem occurs only in IE 8, when we try to authorize and redirect him back to the url he provided. For example, if you have a page on your PC, or a trusted security zone and you click on a link to a third part site or try to open a third party site that is in different security zone (e.g. default zone), IE will open it in a new window.
