linking into a database table

Here's what i'm trying to do:

 

I have a website for my poetry. I have a page where I want to link the titles to the poems that I have stored in a table on my database.

Then I want the user to click on the title, or link, and have just that poem appear. Then I want a back link to take me back to the list of poem titles.

 

My question is: How do I link to the poems in the table, then back to the page with just the titles?
