Can anyone tell me how to add all the values in the column "credits" then display it on a page?

Sure, but first can you tell us what the "column "credits"" is? Its your code, your database, we have no idea what it is as we have never seen it.. If your talking about a database.. and adding values to it, then you would need to

 

INSERT to add new data

UPDATE to change existing

SELECT to poll results from existing data.

 

and use mySQL queries to do it, assuming your DB is mySQL

Yeah, the column credits is in the database.

I want it to say like

$value Total Credits

 

Something like that.

this might be off a little, but...

SELECT credits SUM(credits) FROM mytable GROUP BY  credits

How would you put that into PHP?

 

$query = SELECT credits SUM(credits) FROM users GROUP BY  credits
$row = mysql_fetch_assoc($credits);
echo $row['credits'];

When I do this

             $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($credits);

		 echo $row['credits'];?>

 

I get: Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/fustigat/public_html/stats.php on line 94 which is this line:

 $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($credits);

You should change the $credits to $query.

 

$row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query);
