SQL-DATA-BASE DEVELOPER

Our client is looking for a SQL-DATA-BASE DEVELOPER to work at their head office, located in Middlesbrough with skills primarily in database development (SQL Server). The ideal candidate would have some experience of ASP.NET but this is not essential.

We are looking for candidates who match the following profile:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and build database queries to manipulate and query large data sources.

• Design and build SSIS packages to process, segment and refine large volumes of customer data.

• Build ETL systems that will transform data from multiple sources into data warehouses for customer marketing.

• Build SSRS reports

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of commercial experience in SQL server database development. Must be strong at SQL, and experienced in SSIS.

• 1+ year of commercial experience in ASP.NET would be advantageous.

• Strong degree in Software Engineering or other computer discipline, or demonstration of high level of technical progression.

• Ability to work strongly with a team

• Engaging and proactive personality with strong communication skills (written and spoken) essential to enable successful integration with a team based in the US.

• Good, solid design principles and understanding of the full development life-cycle including Quality Assurance.

• Fast learner and able to work under pressure.

 

Desirable / advantageous:

• HTML skills

• Understanding of supporting Microsoft development tools such as Source Safe.

• Experience in the use of email and social media for marketing

The successful applicant would get great exposure to emerging technologies such as social media, and heavily personalised, dynamic marketing.
