I tried today, but this is the message I received: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)Previously, I connected to MySQL by simply typing /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -urootI've also tried: /usr/local/bin/mysql -urootI hope my error is blindingly obvious to someone...
