ask9 Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 Hi guys I installed XAMPP on windows 7. But I have a little problem, on DOS prompt. When I execute c:\php while XAMPP is running it says, "php is not recognized as internal or external command, operable program or batchfile" By the way I already set the path variables into this below and restarted my computer. %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\AMSP;c:\xampp\php\php.exe; Thanks in advanced. ignace Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\AMSP;c:\xampp\php\php.exe; It should be: c:\xampp\php not c:\xampp\php\php.exe That said you may want to use your own set of env vars, I do it like this: I add a new env var: PHP=D:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5 I then add that env var to my PATH env var: PATH=%PATH%;%PHP% If I want to change to where the PHP env var points I just change it: PHP=D:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2 and I'm done. I don't have to go mess in some massive string. I have the same thing set-up for MySQL and other services like SVN and GIT.
