Wondering if someone could help me out to create a Stats Module ( IE... Offensive or Defensive Player of Week )

Using GridIron Football Component-- see www.gafl.org[/b]]www.gafl.org for an example of the component/ mods in action...

I've included a screenshot of what I am trying to do... also attached is the actual GridIron Component and the beginnings of the module which I am trying to create... the module would need to be able to sort in the backend>  when you choose team the players show up automatically under the player tab...

Would ultimately like to put on my site a Defensive and Offensive Player of the week...

In the module the players pix would be pulled in... their name and personal info... jersey# along with height and weight (see the mockup)..along with present game summary and then season stats after that...

Thanks

Trey

Hi Trey, I fail to see what your problem here is, you have the module, you have your site, we can't make the entire code for you but we can assist you in many ways. Have you read the documentation of this API?

http://fastballproductions.com/component/content/article/26

There is a comprehensive guide on this.

sensei i was hoping someone could help me create this module... and yes i have seen that page.... and if you've visited the site i added in my initial post and taken a look at the component in action you would see that ive editted it quite a bit...etc...

im not a php guru, just looking for some help creating something...

I am well aware what it takes to install and uninstall a Joomla Module... since this is a PHP Forum I thought I would post a topic for some help plain and simple... forgive me for assuming that a forum would a destination to ask for some help... it's amazing to me that a person can't post on a forum for some help trying to accomplish something here...

Trey

Since you've moved the topic and taken it upon yourself to comment the thread out... please do me a favor and delete the post along with my account if you don't mind... no offense; but, I will look for some help elsewhere...

Thanks

Trey

...no one is asking anyone to do this and that... just some hand holding and point someone in the right direction...

dude ive got the component installed already and have since day one .... i am wanting to create a stats module--- which brook at gridiron hasnt created yet... and probably wont for at least another 2 to 4 months ( want to go ahead and create one--- he is waiting on his developer to get around to it )

please delete the post and my profile...

You don't have to wait for anyone to create anything, since the Module offers the API which retrieve stats about players you can simply do it yourself. Since the information is available throughout the entire module, hasn't occured to you that you can use these classes to your own benefit?

Check out the class called GridironViewStats under view.raw.php

Brook must be quite the programmer to wait 2 to 4 months and needing his "developers" for such a task.

why are you asking us here at phpfreaks if you think it takes 2 to 4 months anyways?

delete the post... the developer happens to be working on other stuff... just do me a favor and delete the post and my profile... i am sorry to have wasted your time and for assuming that the forum would be a resource for me...

thanks anyway.... just delete my profile and post please...

This thread is more than a year old. Please don't revive it unless you have something important to add.
