Hi,

I want to update all fields in a tablerow with the corresponding fields in a second table (same structure) and I'm not sure of the best way to do this.

My idea (not valid syntax):

UPDATE maindb m RIGHT JOIN temp t ON m.ISIN = t.ISIN SET m.* = t.* WHERE t.* IS NOT NULL

The Set-Part will of course be spelled out to include all field names, the problem is the Where-Part. NULL-Values in the second table must not be transferred into the first table, but how to spell this out as it has to reference the current fieldname? Or has it?

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
