cliftonbazaar
Hi all, Very new to Ajax so please go easy on me I have a function $(document).ready(function() { var refreshId = setInterval(function() { $("#autoRefreshBattingDisplay").load('borders/right.php'); }, 2000); $.ajaxSetup({ cache: false }); }); which is called via the following line <div class="rightSide" id="autoRefreshBattingDisplay"><?php require("borders/right.php"); ?></div> When the page first loads up everything is fine, but the first time (and every subsequent time) it refreshes it tells me that there is no SESSION data. Is there a way of reading SESSION data in Javascipt? The other trick i tried is to put $("#autoRefreshBattingDisplay").load('borders/right.php?gameNo=$var'); in the function but i don't know how to put a PHP variable into a javascript function, note that it is only one variable that I need to be able to use. theverychap
is the JS in your PHP page? or is it in a seperate JS file? If it's in your PHP page, you could of course use: $("#autoRefreshBattingDisplay").load('borders/right.php?gameNo=<?php echo $var; ?>'); Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/245030-using-session-variable-in-jquery-function/#findComment-1260440 Share on other sites
