Delete Cookie Code

Hello  Friends!

 

A simple code.

Please anyone tell me what is wrong with this piece of code...

 

When i call this function it does not clear the cookie!!!

function deleteCookie(cookieName){ 
	if(document.cookie.length>0){
		document.cookie = cookieName + "=" + "; expires=Thu, 01-Jan-70 00:00:01 GMT";
                  }
}

 

Any help will be highly appreciated!

Looks fine to me. How are you setting your cookies? There's a chance the names of the cookies are "escaped", so try this

function deleteCookie(cookieName)
{ 
    if(document.cookie.length>0)
    {
        cookieName = escape(cookieName);
        document.cookie = cookieName + "=; expires=Thu, 01-Jan-70 00:00:01 GMT";
    }
}
