otuatail
Hi I have heard that there is a work around to prevent auto generated emails from ending up in a spam folder. Has something to do with no reverse DNS. Can someone help out here I think I need to modify the header? Thanks. phporcaffeine
I'm sure this post is being avoided like the plague - because of the nature of the question. There is nothing you can put in the header of an email that will prevent it from being marked as SPAM by mail clients. There are things that you can put in the header that would give your email a better chance as being considered legitimate by email clients. Generally those things are: 1.) Complete First and Last name for 'sent from' 2.) Complete and valid email address in the 'sent from' and 'return path' 3.) Not using a email address for the above, that is listed on popular blacklist services 4.) Not using SMTP servers with Russian or Chinese IP addresses 5.) Not using the word 'FREE' or 'SEX' in the subject line Ultimately, you should read the text of the CAN SPAM ACT (http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus61-can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business). If you are truly concerned about being identified as SPAM and you are legit, consider something like Constant Contact.
