kabar916 Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 Hey, whats going on. i have been using microsoft access for doing all my queries. And they are pretty complex. One query can be the combination of like 8 tables. Do you think Access is the best program to build and run these queries or do you think there is better software out there for building queries. what do you suggest. It seems like Access cant handle very complex queries. A lot of times i have to break the queries down into 3 or 4 queries. i build one, export it to a csv file and then import it back into Access and build a new query on the new imported file. You learn the query language of whatever database you intend to use, if you're using MS Access than you learn the SQL syntax for MS Access, But if you're using a MySQL database or Oracle, then you can't simply build a query in MS Access and copy paste that into MySQL or Oracle. MS Access isn't a 'query builder', it's a database.
