varbinary field truncates to 4096 when retrieving it ?

Hi,

 

I have pdf files strored in a database. When I try to display the pdf file from the database, I can see that the field is truncated.

How do I correct this ?

 

Here is some code:

 

      $STH = $DBH->prepare("Select blobFile  from tblDoctors");

      $STH->execute($data);

  echo $STH->queryString."<p>";

    $counter = 1;

  $STH->setFetchMode(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);   

  while($rt = $STH->fetch()) {

                header("Content-Type: application/pdf");

                header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=ampathreports.pdf");

                echo $rt['blobFile'];

            }

 

I've tried to cast the varbinary file to text but get an error that his type of casting is not allowed

 

Any help much appreciated....
