IreneLing
Hello all. I have a php script which will insert csv data into database using PDO. But it's slow even with just few thousands records. So how can I prevent client from waiting for it when they want to upload data? I tried INSERT DELAYED but it's not working... Thank you. QuickOldCar
Maybe have them upload the cvs file into a designated folder, redirect the user. For the loading of data, have a script checking for cvs file type and oldest date within a folder, then upon completion of cvs/database insert, move or delete the cvs file, then look for another file and continue. Can set a cron job to look for files, or exec the command upon their completed upload. Basically making the insert into database some type of background process.
